One safe place to gear up, dress up, find a duel and queue for a match.
The hub
The hub is the only open-world area in Evervale. Everything else is a match: you spend your time here between fights, getting ready and finding the next one.
Nobody can attack you in the hub unless you both agree to a duel, and if you fall you revive instantly.
Challenge another player to a duel and your cooldowns reset at the start and end, so every fight starts clean. Duels can be open, private, friends only or public, and public duels can be watched by up to 20 people.
When the hub gets busy it splits into several copies, called phases, so it never turns into a crowd. The phase switcher shows which one you are in and lets you hop to a friend's.
