Bots that fill empty queues
When a queue is short of players it can be topped up with server-side bots, clearly labelled, so people can still get a match.
Real players always come first. A bot gives up its place the moment a person takes the slot.
If you join a match that already has a bot, the bot steps out after a short delay and you take its seat.
Bots are tagged so you can tell who is who, they earn no rewards, and they never play in rated matches.
